Shawn Corrigan
Shawn Corrigan is a Los Angeles-based cinematographer known for his visually gripping imagery and developing cohesive campaigns for a range of clients on a local and global scale.
As a capable high-angle cinematographer, Shawn has had the opportunity to shoot alongside many of the world’s best climbers on commercials and other projects. Over the course of his career, Shawn’s collaborators over the course of his career include Alex Honnold and Jimmy Chin (Meru), the climber and documentary filmmaker respectively behind the Oscar winning documentary Free Solo, director Corey Rich, and the International Federation of Sport Climbing’s three-time defending World Youth Champion in both bouldering and lead climbing, Ashima Shiraishi.
Shawn’s first feature film, currently in post-production, follows a group of young women who embark on a healing journey to Mr. Everest’s base camp. The inspiring women, all of whom are victims of sexual violence, manage to connect to nature and their environment as a form of therapeutic recovery along the way.
In the commercial space, Shawn has shot several ad campaigns for clients including Jeep, GQ, Capital One, Nikon, Gatorade, AARP, Square Space, Target, NBC (the Voice, Will and Grace), and Nickelodeon. In 2015, Shawn shot and directed Gatorade’s “Win from Within” ad campaign which was awarded the Silver Lion at Cannes.
Shawn is known for his ability to capture both intimate and expansive shots that allow the voice of the subject to resonate with audiences worldwide.
